New Bankstown Hospital Design Jam

Project Objectives:
Document the design jam to show the process and engage the community

Strategy:
Create a video and live illustration to capture an indigenous community-led initiative, to help guide the conversation in an inclusive and accessible format.

Process:
1. Briefing: We received an email briefing where key dates, times and expectations were shared in a PDF form. We confirmed our approach and our team via email.
2. Pre-Production: After the briefing, we planned our approach, and selected the gear that best suited the scenario.
3. Production (Workshop attendance): Our team (Alan, Rudi and Diana) arrived early to set up our equipment which included a projector, screen, and laptop, as well as camera gear to be ready for flexible filming. Each of us had specific roles to undertake, from filming, to live illustration, to client liaising.
4. Post Production: After the workshop, we edited the video, applying sound design, music and a colour grade to help create the right atmosphere. We created graphics that were on brand with NSW Government requirements.

Outcomes:
The video and graphic recording were used to engage attendees online, as a way to further conversation and ensure the feedback would be included in any of the architectural considerations of the hospital.

Final illustration created live during the workshop
